1. Activate Your Phone Number Package
- Download the Textr eSIM App:
- Activate Upon Arrival:
- Set up your eSIM/SIM before your trip, but disable it until you reach your destination.
- Your phone number will activate once you enable the package at your location.
2. Manage Your Phone Number
- Locate Your Number:
Find your assigned phone number in the app under the “My Data Plan” section.
- Make Calls:
Use the app’s dialer to make local outgoing calls. Incoming calls are available from any region during the package’s validity.
- Send and Receive Messages:
Navigate to the Messaging section to send texts (SMS/MMS) to local numbers. Incoming texts are unlimited.
3. Receive Verification Code
- Receive SMS verification codes for most services. However, we cannot guarantee successful reception in all cases. Use Textr Go’s US Cell Phone Plan for guaranteed OTP reception.
4. Sync With Your Contacts
- The app integrates seamlessly with your phone’s contact list, enabling direct calls and messages from the app.
5. Manage Expiry and Renewals
- When the Plan Expires:
- Calls, texts, and data will stop once your package expires, even if unused validity remains.
- To Keep Your Number:
- Repurchase and activate a new package within 7 days to retain your current number.
- Example Scenario: If your trip extends, renew your plan to continue using the same number without disruption.
- After 7 Days:
- Your number may be reallocated to another user and cannot be reassigned.
6. View Call and Message History
- Access your call and message history in the app, even after the plan expires.
7. Block Unwanted Contacts:
- Use the app’s built-in block feature to manage calls and messages.
