Before initiating the installation process, ensure that your Samsung device supports eSIM and is network unlocked. A stable internet connection, preferably WiFi, is also essential for a seamless setup.

The installation interface may differ across various Samsung models. Here, we will use the Samsung Galaxy S22 as a reference model for demonstrating the eSIM installation process.

Installing Textr eSIM:

Textr eSIM can be installed on Android devices using two methods: QR Code Installation or Manual Installation.

    2. Navigate to SIM Card Manager: Go to Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM.

    3. Scan Carrier QR Code: Choose the 'Scan carrier QR code' option.

  1. Locate QR Code: The QR code is available in your Textr eSIM account. Display it from another device or print it.

  1. Scan QR Code: Ensure the entire QR code is within the box to avoid partial downloads and scan it.

  2. Confirm Installation: Once scanned, the device will retrieve network info. Tap “Add” to finalize the installation.

  1. Manual Installation (Alternative if QR Code Fails):

    2. Choose Installation Method: Tap “Android Device” under “Install eSIM and Access Data” and select “QR Code / Manually Install” > “Manual Input”.

    3. Copy Details: Copy the SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code.

    4. Navigate to SIM Card Manager: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM.

    5. Enter Code: Select “Scan carrier QR code” > “Enter Activation Code” and paste the copied code.

    6. Follow Instructions: Complete the installation by following the on-screen prompts.

Activating eSIM Data Line:

If you are setting up eSIM before your trip, disable your eSIM until you arrive at your destination. After arriving at your destination, you can activate your data plan and access data. Follow the steps below.

  1. Enable eSIM: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager and toggle on your new eSIM.

  2. Set Textr eSIM as Data Source: In SIM card manager, scroll to “preferred SIM” and select Textr eSIM.

  3. Enable Necessary Settings: The eSIM name will appear once you enable 'Use SIM'. Also, activate Mobile data and Roaming to use the data plan.

Congratulations! Your device should now be connected to the network, and mobile data should be accessible. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us at support@textrapp.com. We are here to help you at any time.
